Rental Program
Shipping & returns.
How kits get to you and back - speeds, insurance, packing, and timing.
Domestic
How kits are shipped.
Rental orders ship via FedEx at the speed selected at checkout. Rentals generally arrive within six business days of your start date. We cannot guarantee an arrival date - shipping companies no longer offer guarantees - but we prorate lost days for shipments that arrive after the sixth business day.
Every shipment is tracked and insured. Once you sign for the package, you are signing for the camera's condition as it arrives - and affirming it is in good working order (we check every camera before it ships). If the box looks mishandled, contact the carrier and let us know so we can help file a claim if there is damage.
Kits ship around the first day of your rental and are expected back by the last. That is currently the only way our scheduling works.
Returns
Getting your kit back to us.
Dropping off on time is the renter's responsibility. To be safe, hand your kit to the carrier three or more business days before your last rental day. Later shipping may be fine if you are closer to a drop-off point, but it is not guaranteed - if it reaches us late, we reserve the right to charge late fees. In-person pickup and drop-off is available at the lab; reach out for details.
Pricing already accounts for shipping time eating into your rental in both directions. If a kit reaches us late from a previous renter, we prorate the lost time beyond the fourth day of your period. For rentals that have not shipped by the sixth business day, we will give you the option to cancel or to wait and have the missing time prorated and refunded. We cannot promise to extend rental terms for late arrivals, since another reservation may follow yours - but we often use late fees from a previous rental to overnight your kit and reduce the delay.
