For Students
Education is part of the point.
We are a community-driven lab, and a big part of any community is education. We want to help students shoot more film.
Students get a 30% discount on eligible student cameras - any fully manual camera with a rental price under $100 per period. Once your application is approved, you also get 15% off any other rental.
You may reserve a camera and check out at any time, but applications must be submitted within 12 hours (or in advance) to verify student status. A one-camera-at-a-time rule applies to student rentals, though it may be waived case-by-case for the right ambitious project.

How to apply.
Email us with the subject line "Student Rental Application," and include the following:
Student discounts apply to the rental portion of the listed price - shipping is not discounted - but they combine with our long-term rental discounts.

- Student ID
- A photo or copy
- Driver's License
- A photo or copy
- Class schedule
- A copy for the current term
